Be a LIGHT OF HOPE this holiday season

Be a LIGHT OF HOPE this holiday season.

When asked what the holidays mean for you, most answer "a time to gather with family and friends," "a time to celebrate and share traditions," or "a time to reflect upon the events of the past year." For most, the holiday season is a time of anticipation, happiness, love and laughter, but for the parent and children victims of international child abduction, this is one of the most difficult and dreaded times of the year. In America alone, thousands of parents spend the holidays apart from their abducted children – missing them, worrying about their well being, not knowing what they're doing, and sometimes not even knowing where they are.

In recognition of all the victims of this awful crime, we invite you to be a LIGHT OF HOPE. During this time of year, we are all surrounded by holiday lights. We ask that you take a moment from your holiday festivities and light a candle in honor of the parent and children victims of international child abduction. We'd then like for you to take a picture of your candle and share it with us by completing any one of the below:

  • Posting it to our Facebook page wall Bring Sean Home Foundation (first LIKE our page, then POST your picture to our wall
  • Posting it to Twitter (remember to mention @BringSeanHome in your tweet)
  • Posting it to this thread by replying to this post

Remember to include your location and a special message of hope and encouragement.

Wishing you and yours a happy and joyous holiday season.

All pictures received will become property of the Bring Sean Home Foundation. Pictures received before January 1, 2012 will be posted to an album on the Bring Sean Home Foundation Facebook page.

‎2011 brought about a handful of reunions and returns; but for each of these, thousands of abducted children remain illegally retained away from their home countries. Show your support. Be a LIGHT OF HOPE and show your support for the parent and children victims of international child abduction.

Each day brings a brighter LIGHT OF HOPE for me to be forever reunited with my girls. The strength in this forum with each left behind parent, advocates known & unknown,  supporters that come here anonymously & openly, the silent partners within our government & the out spoken, all have made a difference and will never stop, until every parent is reunited with their child and every child's right to each parent is achieved.

My daughters know
"You only lose, if they lose faith"

We will never forget our children & We will leave the light on for every child so you know where your home is.

Failure is not defined by attempts to change what is wrong back to what is right; failure is defined by accepting what is wrong and doing nothing to change it!   L.E.R.P.

I want to wish everyone at BSHF Happy Holidays and all the best for 2012.

To all the LBP's..I continue to feel your pain and pray for you and your children. I have lit a special candle for you but am unable to post it due to camera issues. But , I do continue to hope and believe that you will be reunited with your kids soon.

I thought I was the only one having camera problems, but that doesn't mean that my candle is not lit every day for all the LBP.  I even hope the candlelight will reach the hearts of the TP and help them to see the wrong they are doing.  My very best wishes for Love, Peace and Happiness for all here on BSH.

I am the mother of three children kidnapped by their father and held in Yemen since June 2006.  They live without electricity, access to books, libraries, or a decent education.  They are surrounded by an active war with gunfire and mortars going off all night long.

Never give up, my children.  I will never stop fighting for your freedom..........

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL.
I feel so privileged to be a part of this forum.   Many here are struggling with one of the most difficult journeys one could imagine.  My thoughts go out to all of them on this day of painful separation and the heartbreak of another holiday without them.

I also want to express my deepest appreciation and respect for those who are here only to support others.  After Sean came home, so many just fell away and lost interest.  For those of you who stayed you truly deserve the title of hero for the rest of the children and their parents.   You are lights of hope today and always.
