Marty - these pictures brought tears to my eyes.  Even though she's not home permanently, she's home NOW and that's what matters!  I'm so happy for you.  I hope that other LBPs are soon experiencing the joy with their children that you are with Nicole.

Enjoy your holidays with your beautiful daughter.
"Every parent who has a child and they tuck him in at night, or her in at night, and they wish the best and only the best and they will always protect the child and do whatever they can, but most of the time they don't have to prove it. I'm in the proving grounds, to myself and to my child.  I have to get him home and I will do whatever I have to. I'll never stop to save him."  --David Goldman

She is very happy to be home and enjoying every minute of it. Already having discussion with her about her moving back and going to school here. I just want her to be happy no matter where she is. I told her that if that was her choice, then she would have a plane ticket waiting for her at the airport. All she has to do is call and tell me she is ready. I do think her mother would be okay with it now that she can come in and out of the US without the threat of being arrested. Time will tell. I don't expect any of it at least for another year at a minimum. Thanks for all your comments. She's a great child.

Out of curiosity, what about her English? I assume she speaks native Portuguese but not sure about her English skills. But kids learn fast...

She's fine with it. She has a little accent and can't remember some of the words in English but we manage. Her first language she spoke was English. I have a translator on my I-Phone that she uses when she needs help. Plus I know enough Portuguese to help a little as well.

'Oh happy day' is right! Marty, the picture of you with Nicole says it all. Cannot express how happy I am for the both of you. Seems Santa came early this year. May God continue to bless you and your family.
