I called the number, its Mr. MILLERS.   I first congratulated him on his grandchildrens return than asked if he was backing HR1940 along with Chris Smith and David Goldman. (Of course I wasn't speaking to Mr Miller) he than asked mebwhat my stance was and I told him that I was an LBP and I Support the bill as I expect Mr. Miller to do now that he can relate and would hope he would utilise anything within his reach to get this much needed legislation passed.  The gentleman was polite, tool my name, E-mail and home address and said he would investigate Mr. Millers stance along with the legislation I mentioned and would be letting me know something.
EVERYONE NEEDS TO FLOOD THIS PHONELINE! !!!!

Write or visit:
2349 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515

Phone: 202-225-3201
Fax: 202-226-6962

Sorry,  this is Congressman Miller's  phone number.    I also called and was received very well.   I explained that my grandchild had been abducted also, to Mexico.   Also congregated him (his rep),  on the return.

I explained that we all have had children or grandchildren abducted under much the same type of circumstance and
were confused at the lack of cooperation from the OCI, FBI,  etc. in obtaining a return for our family members, even after filing a Hague case, and all other proper steps.  I ask that he consider joining Congressman Smith in a proactive role, and that he speak to the media,  about the failure of our government to do all that is obviously possible for them to do and to call them to accountability for not doing it.   I ask him to address the media and go to this forum and offer advice based on his success.

PLEASE EVERYONE CALL.  Let's stand together here and help each other and the children.

I am going to draft a letter regarding this, and modify it slightly in a few different ways so that it can be sent to the Congressman, to the State Department, to editorial columns, and to a variety of news agencies.  After all, writing is pretty much all I can do to help my brother at this point, and it has become abundantly clear to me that this is a systemic issue that NEEDS the type of follow-through Mr. Miller received to be remedied.  I don't presume that anything I write will make anymore of a difference than anything that you ALL have been doing, including David Goldman's continued efforts to help LBP's, but I have to try, as we all have to continue to be persistent, to remain a strong thorn in the sides of these government agencies that accept all the glory of "assisting" with IPCA without any of the effort.  I will post it on the blog, and on here, when I'm done, and if anybody wants their name included on it that would be awesome.

Thanks!
Sonia

I have already addressed the inequity shown in this return, but honestly,  the lack of attention given to this on the forum is astounding.

How can any parent, friend or family member, of an abducted child from the USA,  not be outraged, infuriated,  and made ill,  at the level of support given to this man,  in relation, to the support given  almost every other left behind parent, and equally worthy, abducted child.

After this abductor and the three children were located,  it took a WEEK,  for the whole establishment to literally swoop down on the abductor and bring those children back to their father, and at the same time, to bring the abductor back to face justice.   (Which could make other potential abductors think twice,  if it happened consistently.)

Not to be repetitive,  but this involved at the very least,  the cooperation of the OCI,  the FBI here and in Mexico,   the LA investigators,  and I'm guessing pressure from within the congress,  and many others.

Finally, this demonstration of what CAN be done in stark contrast to what IS done for almost every other U.S. citizen, parent and especially the abducted child, is nothing short of appalling.  Please try to bring this to the attention of the media,  your representatives, your FB friends and everyone else you know.   This is supposed to be a country with JUSTICE AND EQUALITY FOR ALL.

Thank you Diane!  Well said and my letters are going out today. I always got a quicker and a more detailed response from snail mail than a email.

At least for me the reason im not outraged is because I always knew this to be the case.

Well perhaps better to say not especially outraged or surprised.  Just business as usual at State.
