For anyone else whose using Google Chrome as their web browser and having problems viewing the forums you probably need to press CTRL + F5 to force the site to reload and clear the CSS files from the browser cache.
This has happened to me a couple times now so I thought it might happen to someone else.
In other browsers doing something like ctrl + shift + r will force a complete page refresh in case you see something similar with a different browser (though I've never seen it except with chrome.)
