Thanks, KarmaGirl, for your kind message.

Sorry, André, but you didn´t answer my arguments.

They are not similar situations but:
- In the Terri Schiavo case (2005) President Bush returned to Washington D.C. from a vacation to sign legislation designed to keep the girl alive
- Few weeks ago Berlusconi tried to do the same thing and the Italian girl died when the parliament was voting a specific bill to address her situation

Why should a president keep quiet if Federal Courts need 4 or 5 years to decide about a case that an international treat signed by Brazil enforces a decision in 6 weeks?

... I am so frustrated as you, especially because I know the Law, and apparently to me huge mistakes were committed by the previous judges, legally speaking. The type of mistakes wich only a dumb judge would do, or a corrupt judge.

André, what happens then when it is determined that there was a "mistake"on the judge's rulling? What happens if it is obvious the judge didn't "judge" right, and was unfair, or even wrong? What does the law say and do about that in Brazil?  I'm just curious.

Well, may be they aren´t so similar, but such a thing could never happen in Brasil and Europe.

Berlusconi tried to resolve the situation by making a law. In Brasil, I believe it will be necessary a constitutional changing, wich is very dificult and slowness to happen.

Please, you have demonstrated that you know nothing about Law. Make questions I will answer, do not make wrong statements.

no judge will be punished for making a "wrong/mistaken" decision. The decisions can be corrected by the superiors instances.

But, if someone prove that the judge made that decision because of some kind of corruption, he will be criminally prosecuted.

André, you are right: I know nothing about Law. I´m just a regular citizen that knows that:
1. Brazil signed Hague Convention. Freely, it could have not signed.
2. I don’t know if Brazil added a footnote below the signature stating: “You know, guys, our courts are a bit slow, then although I´m affirming that children will be returned in 6 weeks, this is only a gag. In truth it will not be possible before 5 or 10 years.”
3. Brazil could freely have denounced the convention at anytime and get disobliged from its clauses.
4. Brazil benefited for the Convention, returning several kids in the last years.

Then, why should a president keep quiet if Courts need 4 or 5 years to decide about a case when an international convention signed freely by Brazil enforces a decision in 6 weeks?

I understand what separation of powers is about. I only don´t understand why the judiciary should be treated as the almighty god and executive, legislative and citizens, mainly, should only bow to its decisions or lack of decisions.

This Nicholas dude...just b/c they were lacking their fathers presence growing up absolutely does NOT make them unqualified to discuss Sean.  In fact he's perfect for the reason Obama is so involved with his girls.  Lets say maybe your buddy Lins e Silva was raised by nannies?  Does that mean he is bad for Sean too?
