Bring Sean Home is working with
BAC Home on the recruitment of co-sponsors for
H.Res.1326, condemning Japan for International Child Abduction and calling on Japan to facilitate the immediate return of all children abducted to Japan. The resolution calls on the Government of Japan to immediately address the growing problem of abduction to and retention of United States citizen minor children in Japan, to work closely with the Government of the United States to return these children to their custodial parent or to the original jurisdiction for a custody determination in the United States, to provide left-behind parents immediate access to their children, and to adopt without delay the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.

Yesterday, I received a list of TARGET CO-SPONSORS from Randy Collins (the attached zip file contains the list in excel format).
For those of you not familiar, Randy is a left-behind parent. His son, Keisuke, was abducted to Japan in June 2008. For more information, click here or visit www.bringkeisukehome.com.
Randy indicates that 25 co-sponsors are needed to get the Foreign Affairs Committee to vote on the resolution.The list is broken down in to 4 parts:

When reviewing the list, note that the Column I (to the right of the list of phone numbers) are various codes -- SD = Sit Downs (sat down with a staffer), LB = Left Booklet, FTF = Face to Face (saw congressman/woman in the halls), JC = Just Card (we ran out of books but left a BACHome.org business card).
