Is there a way to configure notification of PM's?  With the old forums there was an option to send users an email notification when they received a PM, you could even configure it to include the content of the PM in the email (which I really liked.)  I've actually not noticed I had a PM for several weeks with the new system and feel bad for not responding to a parent that sent me a PM.  Is there a way to configure notifications in the new system that I'm not seeing?

yes, there is.

Click on the profile link above.

On the left hand-side menu, click on "Personal Message Options". You will have the option to add a pop-up saying you have messages and/or get email notifications.

Sweet!  Thanks!  I can't believe I never saw that before.  I looked for it a few times without success.  I set it up to send me emails and get a popup.

I'd been thinking I should make a nice pretty graphic in SnagIt like the one Bob made for the email thing and since I hadn't gotten around to it, I hadn't posted anything. I stumbled upon the option a few weeks back after not seeing a PM for awhile. I'm glad you asked since now the answer is out there in a usable format I would have posted sooner but after being away for a long weekend I forgot to catch up on this board until now, so I'm glad liesl78 let you know.

Thanks from me as well. That should be set as a default. I am still not used to this new system and I never noticed that option before. Thanks.
