Before they forget...
« on: March 07, 2010, 02:36:05 PM »
Before they forget the David and Sean story..

is there anyone else we need to contact to keep the story alive? I know we are working on contacting our Congressmen/women in the US to co-sponsor 3240, but is there anyone else we need to contact (i.e the judges who are still ruling against the LBP's, state dept etc). I know we're not President Obama's or Hilary Clinton's here in this forum, but there has be continued added pressure.

I want to BLAST the judges especially in Brazil for still ruling against the LBP's but I know that's not politically correct :biggrin.

I just feel there is someone else we can contact in these countries that can help us (i.e getting articles in their newspapers, e-mailing judges and reminding them of family values..etc.)

We can do something else without stepping on toes..

We cannot let them forget they still need to return the kids back to the LBP's

What does everyone think?

The only thing that comes to mind is for everyone to somehow try and keep this issue in the
media. I've been lucky having the letter to the editor printed about 8 times but it seems to
be getting more difficult. Bernard Aronson's Washington Post op ed was excellent and it is
too bad we can't get others who have his recognition and knowledge publish more op eds.
I know many LBPs are working as hard as they can to get some kind of exposure but it
seems the main stream media isn't listening or offering any help.

We just need to keep working on getting the cosponsors for HR 3240 and then get it passed.
Once passed, perhaps the media will listen and we can be more successful.

I know you're right about getting 3240 cosponsored, but I'm just afraid to let the story of parental abduction die. I'm still pushing my congressman to co-sponsor. I think his office is now getting sick of me :hihi :hihi. I called today and the staffer said they're aware of my e-mails and have my information if they need to get in touch with me. I guess that's good news. they haven't hung up on me.

I'm still waiting for your articles to show up in the philly inquirer and the courier post. I keep looking for it everyday.
