Segueing into the animal kingdom brought by Liesl78, are there any marine biologists, oceanographers or fish experts here on BSH that could tell me what is that below?

I took these pictures from my cellphone. I thought it could be a manta ray but I don't know. It moved slowly and erratically. Then it went further on open water. It hipnotized me.
Any ideas? A UBO (unidentified buoying object), perhaps? :)

I am no expert on rays, but my guess is it's a "sting ray" (there are many species), not a manta ray.

Thanks! I thought it could be a manta ray because I remember seeing on TV a report of one sighting last summer on Miami Beach shoreline. And I was on the 36th floor of a high rise and the thing looked huge! Going to check that website out!
