Liam's mother is free! She called many times her brother because she wanted to see Liam, but her brother said that we would see. She and his brother had not contact since years!

Ok - do we know if Michael has attempted to contact this uncle through attorney's?  I think the decision is disgraceful, but it does not seem like the uncle is working with Liam's mom behind the scenes.

I'm curious what legal basis the Italian courts gave to justify this decision...assuming they even felt the need to do that before shunting Liam off to yet another unfamiliar place over returning him to his father.
 
I was hoping that Chris Cuomo and 20/20's scrutiny would keep the Italian authorities on the straight and narrow - now I'm not so sure.

Since Liam has been so poisoned by his mother against Michael, the uncle may be the one who could bridge the relationship between father and son instead of the incompetent childrens services and the family courts in Italy. (always looking for a silver lining:D)

Il bambino conteso dai genitori vive con lo zio paterno. La mamma è accusa di sequestro di persona


ROMA - Liam, il bambino di otto anni conteso dai due genitori, padre americano e madre italiana, non potrà vedere e nemmeno sentire telefonicamente la madre, Manuela Antonelli, almeno per i prossimi 10 giorni. Il tribunale dei Minori di Roma, infatti, stamani ha fissato per il 12 febbraio prossimo un'udienza per stilare un programma di incontri fra il bambino e la donna. Incontri che dovranno avvenire in presenza degli assistenti sociali, ovvero nella forma della visita protetta.
REATO DI SEQUESTRO - Il bambino, affidato ai servizi sociali, vive attualmente dallo zio materno dove è stato collocato provvisoriamente per decisione dei giudici. La Antonelli non vede suo figlio da 28 gennaio scorso quando è stata arrestata perchè ritenuta responsabile del reato di sequestro di persona del bambino, in esecuzione di un ordine di estradizione da parte degli Usa. Dopo due giorni la donna è stata scarcerata. «Liam - commenta uno degli avvocati della donna, Antonella Tomassini - è in ostaggio, dato che non potrà vedere e sentire la madre per almeno 10 giorni». On February 12, Liam shall meet his mother at the Italian court. Durind this time he has to stay in the maternal uncle's house, who has temporarily the custody and during 10 days his mother can not  speak with him. In this day (on February 12) it will be decided, how mother can see his son and this meeting will be followed by social workers!

Thats good news that the custody is only temporary, but I think, if the Italian court will have the courage to give the custody to Liam's mother, after all thing that she did! I can not understand, what they are still waiting to return the boy to the USA to his father!

The court has 2 choices--1.return Liam to his father--2.return Liam to his mother.Since the mother is a certified nut case,Liam must be returned to Michael immediately.Any transition period deemed necessary by the court should be in the US,approved by the father.The US Gov, should protest anything other.
