HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Houston father trying to bring his son back from Brazil, where his wife took him and disappeared, must now go through another court hearing.

Kelvin Birotte Sr. flew to Brazil Wednesday night to pick up his four-year-old son and bring him back to Houston. However, before leaving, he learned his wife's lawyer filed an appeal to keep the child in Brazil.

Birotte says his wife took their son to Brazil in 2006 but didn't return. There's no word on when the court will rule on the appeal.

So because of the appeal does this mean that they know where she is..

If neone has contact wit kelvin let him know i have a great Private Investigator in Brazil who can find out her CPF # (brasilian social security number) as well as her T.Eleitor# ( voting # ) as well as banking info where she works and pretty much anything you want... he will need some info but he is amazing

This means that Kelvin just wasted at least a thousand dollars on plane fare and, like me, has to wait an undetermined amount of time again for the next court ruling.

Sheesh, I never dreamed I should have checked my email before going to the Longworth HOB this morning to talk to my rep and drop off paperwork with 9 other reps we are targeting!!! It wouldn't have been personalized paperwork, but I'm sure I could have made my point to his office in person. I even made my point about this case in speaking with other interns and foreign affairs staffers at multiple offices and in my meeting this morning with my Congressman (sans the appeal, just the updates before 3:30 PM yesterday)! I even spoke to Allison from Rep Smith's office and didn't know to mention anything about an appeal. I'll post about how my experiences went this morning in another thread later to not steer this one off course. [I have to get work done since I didn't work this morning, so it won't be until much late tonight or tomorrow]
